Turkey hunting is a real passion of mine. I love to talk about it. I'd love for beginning turkey hunters to read my blog and get some solid information about the sport. I want to say that I am not by far any kind of expert. I have been hunting for 6 years now and have only killed one turkey. I have learned so much since I started this journey and I am hoping to learn more by helping someone (maybe you) get into the sport and succeed. So far I have hunted only in New Mexico and only the Merriams subspecies. Most hunting advice I've found speaks to hunting the Eastern subspecies. Having read a lot about turkey hunting and my experience with the Merriams subspecies suggests some key differences in how you hunt them. See you in the turkey woods. C.
